Welcome to the Tor Bridge Partnership

About the Partnership
The Tor Bridge Partnership comprises four schools with a single governing body. The schools; Tor Bridge High, Tor Bridge Primary, Plym Bridge Nursery School and Children’s Centre and Downham School are located on one brand new campus at Estover in north-east Plymouth, built as a Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project between 2009 and 2012.

We are an extremely ambitious team; the design and operational purpose of Tor Bridge is to give learners of all ages in all four schools access to all of the facilities on site. All of the facilities and resources are therefore jointly owned by the Partnership.

The Tor Bridge Partnership (TBP) is both a governing body and a limited company. It has twenty directors, five from each of the four schools, one of which (Tor Bridge High) is a converter academy. It meets four times a year.

Each school has its own expert governor committee typically comprising five or six full governors and a number of associates who provide specific advice and information. Committees meet six times each year.

The Leadership Team (Bridgehead) comprises the leaders of the four Partnership schools and is led by Executive Principal Michael Loveman, who is also the Headteacher of Cann Bridge School; Brian Lee, Headteacher of  Plymbridge Nursery School and Children's Centre; Cathryn Tompkins, Headteacher of Tor Bridge Primary; Liz Dunstan, Principal of Tor Bridge High.

Bridgehead is supported by Kay Mabin the Business Manager from Plym Bridge Nursery School and Children's Centre who represents the Director of Finance from Tor Bridge High; the Business Manager from Tor Bridge Primary and the Senior Administrator from Cann Bridge.

Car Boot Sales!
The Tor Bridge Partnership is hosting two car boot sales on behalf of the Ermington Players on Sunday March 10th and Sunday April 21st.

Both sales will generate income for the four schools as 30% of the gate money will be donated to the schools.

Each sale will start at 10 am, with sellers able to get onto the site from 9 am to set up.
If you wish to sell the cost is £5.00 for a car and £8.00 for a van and the sale will take place in the top car park with lower sections of the parking area for buyers once the sale begins.

Your sincerely
Michael Loveman
